1. acceptance of terms
by accessing and using seasons of your life ("the service"), you agree to these terms & conditions. if you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. description of service
seasons of your life is a tool that processes your spotify extended streaming history or apple music privacy export entirely in your browser. the service analyzes your listening data to generate statistics, trends, and insights. your listening data is never transmitted to or stored on any server.
3. your music data
all music data processing occurs client-side in your browser using javascript. your data is never sent to any external server, database, or third party. we do not collect, store, or have access to your listening history at any point.
era definitions and profile metadata you create are stored in your browser's local storage and indexeddb and remain on your device. you can manage multiple profiles (up to 3) and add multiple files per profile (up to 4).
we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to spotify, apple, or any other third-party service. statistics and insights are based on the data provided in your export, and we do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the source data.
4. email & account
to access the service, you provide your email address. by submitting your email, you agree to receive:
- a sign-in link to access the app
- occasional newsletters about seasons of your life (you may opt out at any time)
your email address is stored securely in our database. you can unsubscribe from newsletters at any time using the link in any email. authentication is handled via magic link, no password is required or stored.
5. purchases and refunds
the $4.99 full access purchase is a one-time, non-refundable digital product. payment is processed by stripe.
if you experience a technical issue that prevents you from accessing premium features after purchase, contact us at hello@moonpath.dev and we will resolve the issue or issue a refund at our discretion.
early access users receive free premium access. this access can be revoked if these terms are violated, but will not be revoked arbitrarily. early access users are not eligible for refunds as no payment was made.
6. user responsibilities
you agree not to:
- upload malicious files or attempt to exploit the service
- use the service to spam, harass, or harm others
- attempt to reverse-engineer or misuse the service's infrastructure
- misrepresent your identity when signing up
7. intellectual property
moonpath.dev owns the brand, design, and code of seasons of your life. you retain full ownership of your listening data and any content you create using the service (era definitions, share images, etc.).
8. third-party services
the service uses third-party providers including vercel, supabase, stripe, resend, and others. your listening data is never shared with any of these services. for full details on what data is shared with each provider, see our privacy policy.
9. disclaimer of warranties
the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
10. limitation of liability
to the fullest extent permitted by law, seasons of your life and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
11. termination
we may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. you may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@moonpath.dev.
12. governing law
these terms are governed by the laws of the state of washington, united states, without regard to conflict of law principles.
13. changes to terms, pricing, and features
we reserve the right to change pricing, features, or access tiers at any time. changes to pricing will not affect existing purchases. we will notify active users of material changes via email.
we may update these terms from time to time. continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
