All processing happens entirely in your browser. Your data never leaves your device.
How It Works
- Request your data — request your extended streaming history from spotify or apple music.
- Upload the ZIP — Drop your file(s) on the upload page. Everything is processed right in your browser.
- Explore your story — Navigate through tabs: overview stats, top artists/tracks, listening trend charts, and discovery timelines.
- Define your eras — Create named periods like "High School" or "College" to filter and compare your listening across life chapters.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my data safe?
Yes. Your data from spotify or apple music is processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing is sent to any server. We never see, store, or transmit your listening history.
What format do I need?
For spotify, you need the extended streaming history ZIP (not the basic "download your data" option). you can request it from spotify's privacy page. for apple music, request your data through apple's privacy portal. both can take a few days to arrive.

What are eras?
Eras are custom time periods you define (e.g. "Middle School: Sep 2015 – Jun 2018"). When you select an era, all your stats are recalculated for just that time period so you can see how your taste evolved.
What does "days to regular listener" mean?
It's the number of days between your first listen and the first day you played that artist 8 or more times — the point where casual listening became a habit.
I didn't receive an email
some email providers have strict filtering that may block our messages. if you signed up and didn't get an email, check your spam or junk folder. if it's not there, reach out to us and we'll get you set up.
